Five Essential Pitbull Collabs!

February 21, 2025

Landing in the UK this week, musical polymath Pitbull will bring his massive catalogue of hits to London’s O2 ahead of his upcoming Vegas residency. A captain of collaboration, he’s worked with everyone from Lil Jon to Leona Lewis. We’ve picked 5 essential Pitbull unions to get you ready for the big night.

Timber with Kesha

This oak solid hit was number one in over fifteen countries after branching out from the US where it felled the top spot for 3 weeks in 2013. With 13 writers, including Kesha’s mum, and an iconic harmonica line inspired by Avicii’s Wake Me Up, it’s the pinnacle of collaborative spirit.

Time of Our Lives with Ne-Yo

The essence of collaboration, this 2014 banger was included on Globalization, Pitbull’s eighth album and on Ne-Yo’s sixth record, Non-Fiction. For the video, Pitbull and Ne-Yo went back in time to throw a ‘99 NYE house party complete with varsity jackets, plastic cups and a guest cameo from Fergie.

Give Me Everything (Tonight) with Nayer, Ne-Yo & Afrojack

Written by Pitbull, Ne-Yo, Nayer and produced by Afrojack, this 2011 progressive-house smash proves that teamwork makes the dream work. This instant hit of dance pop gave Pitbull his first UK number one as a lead artist, 6 weeks after topping the chart on Jennifer Lopez’s hit On The Floor.

Feel This Moment with Christina Aguilera

In the ultimate act of collaboration, Pitbull and Christina teamed up to borrow from Norwegian pop gods a-ha, interpolating their timeless classic Take On Me. Pitbull said in an interview that working on the song with Christina was “an honor, a blessing.” With platinum status in 13 countries, he wasn’t kidding!

Hey Baby (Drop It to the Floor) with T-Pain

Taken from Pitbull’s sixth album, Planet Pit, this electro-house belter climbed the US Hot 100 for 4 months to win the Floridian his third top-ten hit. Working with T-Pain, the pair also borrowed from the legendary Salt-N-Pepa cut Push It, proving collaboration comes in many forms!
