Hey, come on! It’s the height of the summer and right now we can’t think of a better video to occupy this exalted slot.
And the truly wonderful thing about ELO’s magisterial and evergreen hit is that it works in the winter or summer, come rain or shine.
Originally appearing as the fourth track on the ‘Concerto For A Rainy Day’ suite on Side 3 of the band’s double album, ‘Out Of The Blue’, ‘Mr Blue Sky’ peaked at Number Six in the UK singles charts in 1977.
The track may well be 40 – count ‘em! – years old but to our ears it still sounds as fresh and welcome as it ever did!
