He’s the singer/songwriter’s singer/songwriter, a Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Famer, founding member of the Travelling Wilburys, ‘The Big O’, America’s Maestro.
He is Roy Orbison and we want to know why you love him.
A restrained, almost reclusive star who nonetheless rose to fame in an era crowded with larger-than-life personalities – many of whom joined him onstage for his legendary ’88 special, ‘Black & White Night’ – Orbison was perhaps as close to an enigma as it’s possible for a multi-platinum selling star to be.
Nonetheless, hits like ‘Oh, Pretty Woman’, ‘Only The Lonely’ and ‘In Dreams’ touched countless hearts and lives.
Now, as ‘A Love So Beautiful’ – Orbison’s posthumous collaboration with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra – prepares to hit the road next year, we want to hear your stories of how his music soundtracked your life.
