Today we’re proud to release a new singles collection bringing together the early output of one of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful bands ever to come out of the UK – the Electric Light Orchestra.
‘The UK Singles Vol. One: 1972-1978’ collects the band’s first hits and b-sides as they were originally available, on fifteen 45 RPM singles plus 1978’s ‘The ELO LP’.
Every disc – including the likes of ‘Roll Over Beethoven’, ‘Evil Woman’ and ‘Mr Blue Sky’ – is fully remastered from the original source tapes and with painstakingly recreated originmal artwork and sleeve notes.
From 1972 through 1986, ELO racked up more combined UK and US Top 40 hits than any other band on the planet while selling more than 50 million records worldwide.
