Today we celebrate 50 Years of synth pioneer Jean Michel Jarre with the release of ‘Planet Jarre’ a sumptuous collection of his finest works, plus two new tracks, all collated into four distinct sections.

‘Planet Jarre’ is available on double CD set, a vinyl edition consisting of 4LPs, a book and download card and a deluxe, limited edition box set featuring Digipack, two cassettes tapes and download card.

The download cards offer access to the digital edition – enter the world of Jean-Michel Jarre in 5.1.

And don’t miss ‘Planet Jarre: The Podcast’, a weekly series in which Jarre is joined by BAFTA Award winning actor, writer and musician Matt Berry to discuss art, music, the creative process and self-belief.  ‘Planet Jarre: The Podcast’ will be released on digital platforms every Wednesday from 26 September.

Says Jarre: “Going through the body of my existing work for this project, I realized that I have four quite different styles of composition. There is this common idea that people are focusing on shorter and shorter moments of music by zapping constantly. This is not necessarily true. We are also spending more and more time in our day-to-day life listening to playlists. Wherever we are and whatever we do. This is the reason why I decided to divide this project into four different parts, four different worlds that make up my own world…my own planet. And I hope that you will enjoy the journey.”
