Mental As Anything’s ‘Live It Up’ is the very definition of the slow-burning international single.
Originally released in the band’s native Australia in 1985, it rose to global prominence throughout 1986 and 1987 in the wake of the success of the box office comedy smash, ‘Crocodile Dundee’, where it appeared in the soundtrack.
Yet for all that, it’s the exuberance at the heart of this video that captures the essence of this instantly catchy number.
