An undisputed 80s classic, the video for ‘Time After Time’ was directed by Edd Griles, who also helmed Cyndi Lauper’s promos for ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’ and ‘She-Bop’.
Shot in New Jersey, this is something of a family affair, featuring as it does guest appearances from Cyndi’s mother, brother and then-boyfriend, David Wolff.
And in keeping with that theme, it also includes Lou Albano, who played her father in ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’.
Moving and poignant, it won the 1984 American Video Awards for Best Pop Video and Best Female Performance, as well as three MTV Video Music Award nominations.
