In celebration of Bob Dylan’s Birthday today, he just had to be this month’s Artist Spotlight! Here are a couple of facts you might not know…

– In May 1964, Bob Dylan’s second studio album ‘The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan’ Peaked at No.1 on the UK Album Chart the UK Albums Chart and featured original tracks such as ‘Blowin’ In The Wind’ which became an anthem of the 1960’s.

– In 1965, Bob Dylan released another No 1 album ‘Bringing It All Back Home’ where on one side of the original LP, he is backed by an electric rock and roll band followed by mainly acoustic songs in the second half.

– In May 1966, Bob Dylan released the iconic ‘Blonde On Blonde’, rock’s first double album. Dylan said that the album was the closest he has ever come to the ‘thin, wild, mercury sounds’ he hears in his head.
