July’s Artist Spotlight is the wonderful Tom Odell, whose debut album ‘Long Way Down’ turned 10 years old in June 2023! Here are a few of our favourite Tom Odell songs and a couple of things you may not know about him:
– Tom Odell released his debut studio album ‘Long Way Down’ on 24th June 2013, meaning it turned 10 years old in June 2023!
– About the album, Tom said: “I hope the album feels human and real and that there are some flaws – because the flaws help make it what it is.”
– The album features singles: ‘Hold Me,’ ‘Grow Old With Me,’ ‘Can’t Pretend,’ and of course ‘Another Love.’
– The smash hit ‘Another Love’ peaked at No. 10 on the Official UK Chart back in 2013. Ten years later, TikTok breathed new life into the song, with it peaking at No. 10 yet again in January 2023!
– The track has been used in various creations, from Tom performing it for Ukranian refugees to sped up/slowed down versions.
