Still Australia’s definitive post-punk band, Midnight Oil are returning to the global live scene for the first time in over two decades.
This landmark occasion is being marked with the release of two comprehensive box sets.
The Full Tank CD Box Set
All of Midnight Oil’s albums and both EPs newly remastered over over 14 CDs. You’ll also get a new DVD ‘40,000 Watt RSL’ featuring all the band’s unforgettable music videos and a 36 page deluxe booklet featuring iconic photos and a new essay by Australian music journalist and musician, Sean Sennett.
The Complete Vinyl Box Set
All of Midnight Oil classic studio albums plus two 12″ EPs on 180g vinyl, with painstakingly restored artwork and all mastered from the original tapes by Steve Smart at Studios 301, Sydney and then mastered for vinyl at Abbey Road Studios, London.
‘The Great Circle 2017’ world tour will see the classic Midnight Oil line-up circumvent the globe for six months and over 30 gigs at legendary venues around the world, plus festival appearances and a series of special homecoming concerts.
Midnight Oil Announce ‘The Makarrata Project’
It’s been almost 20 years since Midnight Oil unveiled a new longform release. That wait will finally be over on October 30 when their seven song mini-album, ‘The Makarrata Project’ lands online and in stores on CD & Vinyl.
