Disco’s love affair with all things science fiction and space is well documented.
When the burgeoning disco scene of the mid 70s collided with the release of Star Wars in 1977 a new star was born in the cosmic shape of sci-fi disco poster boys MECO – the brain child of American producer and musician Domenico Monardo.
It’s a universally adored record on the Legacy turntable and we’ve been waging a campaign to get this reissued since we picked up this glorious slice of RCA space disco confection.
With the hotly anticipated release of the The Force Awakens later this year, perhaps the stars will align and we’ll finally get our wish.
Far out indeed!
